St Mary’s University, Twickenham (SMU) student and Sports Scholar, Charlotte Close, has been selected for the women’s football England Universities Sport (EUS) squad 24/25.
Charlotte is a third year Sport Rehabilitation student at St Mary’s, and also the current president of the SMU women’s football team.
EUS is the official English association which administrates and sanctions all representative student sport and competition across higher education in England. It also provides high-end competition against elite athletes and high-class coaching for students in its squads.
Speaking on her selection, Charlotte said, “I am incredibly grateful to have been selected for the England Universities football squad. This is an amazing opportunity on a personal level but also to represent St Mary's on a bigger stage. I can't wait to get started and compete with the team.”
