Professor of Education at St Mary’s University, Twickenham (SMU), Anna Lise Gordon, has given a presentation at the European Grief Conference in Dublin earlier this month, before being interviewed on RTE’s Drivetime radio show on behalf of the Irish Hospice Foundation.

Prof Anna Lise shared the work that St Mary's does on bereavement awareness training, provided to all students on the University’s initial teacher education programmes. She then was invited onto RTE’s Drivetime show to give further input on bereavement training for teachers and share more about the conference.

RTE’s Drivetime is Ireland’s leading national evening commuter radio show, with approximately 265,000 listeners joining the show daily.

Speaking on the conference, Prof Anna Lise said, “It was such a joy to be surrounded by so many people from across Europe and beyond who share a passion for normalising conversations about death, grief, and loss, and for supporting people through bereavement.”
