Level 6 Nutrition and Sports and Exercise Nutrition students at St Mary’s University, Twickenham (SMU) have launched a free Nutrition Clinic aimed to provide professional and personalised support.
The Nutrition Clinic will be held weekly on Thursday mornings from 9am-12pm in room R19 on the SMU campus.
The students leading the clinic will be supervised by nutrition lecturers at SMU Laura Ercolani and Dr Leta Pilic. Both Laura and Leta have extensive experience in working individually with clients.
The services on offer at the Nutrition Clinic include nutrition counselling and consultation, dietary assessment, and access to nutritional resources. All services are free of charge.
The Nutrition Clinic gives individuals the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a nutritionist to discuss their dietary needs, health goals, and challenges. Attendees can receive a comprehensive evaluation of their current diet with actionable feedback to improve nutritional intake. The team will then develop a realistic and sustainable eating plan, alongside other health goals.
Speaking on the aims of the clinic, Laura and Leta said, “At St Mary’s Nutrition Clinic, we believe that nutrition is the cornerstone of health and academic success. Our mission is to empower students and staff by providing expert, free nutrition advice tailored to our diverse St Mary’s community. Whether you're navigating the challenges of maintaining a balanced diet, seeking to improve your overall health, or curious about nutrition, our team is here to support you.”
