St Mary's University Student Hardship Fund

St Mary's University Student Hardship Fund is a cash-limited fund that is aimed to support students who need additional financial help to meet particular costs not being met by statutory (or other) sources of funding.

Who is eligible to apply?

The Hardship Fund is available to UK and Irish St Mary's University students studying a higher education course that's*:

  • full-time
  • part-time
  • undergraduate
  • PGCE.

The Hardship Fund is also available to a number of priority groups:

  • students with dependents
  • mature students
  • disabled students
  • final year students
  • students from Foyers, or who are homeless
  • students who have been in care or who are irreconcilably estranged from their families.

* Please note, the St Mary's Hardship Fund is not available to students studying via a partnership institution. Partnership students must instead apply for financial support directly from their partner institution.

Eligible students will be required to provide evidence that shows they are in severe financial hardship. Students will be able to make an application through the Student Funding Service after they have registered on a course of study at St Mary's.
