Law graduate Jasleen Juttla has been awarded the Morrisons Solicitors Award 2019 for achieving the highest overall grade on the University’s Law LLB programme.
St Mary’s values its links with the local community and is delighted that Morrisons, a prestigious law firm with offices in Surrey and South West London, awarded Jasleen the sum of £500 with a certificate for Top Performing LLB Law Student.
Jasleen, who is going on to take the Legal Practice Course in September, was overjoyed with the award, which stands as a testament to her hard work over the years.
John Andrews, presented the award to Jasleen at St Mary’s University on August 6th, 2019.
John commented, “A huge congratulations to Jasleen on her achievement. At Morrisons Solicitors we are immensely proud of our ongoing involvement with St Mary’s Law Programme and its talented students. Community is a core value of the firm and whether the students go on to join us, or pursue careers in law elsewhere, we are delighted to be part of their development.”
Lloyd Gash, Senior Lecturer, said “We are delighted that Morrisons took the time to come to St Mary’s to present Jasleen with this much deserved award. Morrisons have been supporting our students in a number of ways over the years, including speaking at Law Forums, hosting work experience placements and providing this award to celebrate the success of our graduates. The connection between current practitioners and our students, potential practitioners of the future within the local community or elsewhere, is a key part of the success of both legal education and the wider legal profession.”
