A survey undertaken by Times Higher Education (THE) has ranked St Mary’s University, Twickenham as London’s top university for student experience.
The annual survey, which ranks universities on a broad range of topics around the student experience, has seen St Mary’s climb 24 places to become London’s top university. The University ranked first in a number of categories including good sport facilities, good community atmosphere, good personal relationship with teaching staff, good environment on campus, and good security.
St Mary’s was also commended by THE for its sports facilities. Ranking amongst the top universities in the country the publication praised the University for its inspirational atmosphere and drive to engage everyone in sports. The University’s Twickenham campus boasts a number of world-class sports facilities, including an Olympic standard athletics track, the recently opened strength and conditioning Performance Education Centre, an indoor tennis centre, and a new sports centre and fitness suite. Students are also well served by over 30 acres of playing fields for outdoor sports.
Sporting alumni of the University include Mo Farah, Rebecca Romero, Moe Sbihi, Charlie Grice, Steph Twell, and Andrew Osagie, amongst many others.
