St Mary's Academics to Meet Woking Congregation

Academics from St Mary’s University, Twickenham will engage with a local parish to celebrate St Francis' Day and at the same time hold a special event around the Pope’s encyclical on the environment on Sunday 4^th October. The event entitled Exploring ‘Laudato Si’ – Care Of Creation will be co-hosted by Woodham Parish’s Fr Ian Forbes and Professor of Philosophy and Society at St Mary’s Prof Geoff Hunt. There will be three concurrent workshops to approach the topic of Care of Creation led by St Mary’s theologian Rev Dr Ashley Beck. The workshops will include discussions, music and crafts to explore the topic and will be following an Evensong Service. The event is taking place at the All Saints Church, Woodham, Woking from 3pm on Sunday 4^th October.
