Drama St Mary’s to Perform Latest Work at Soho Theatre

Drama students at St Mary’s University, Twickenham will show off their latest work at the annual Drama Showcase at the Soho Theatre on Friday 11th April.

Drama students at St Mary’s University, Twickenham will be showing off their latest work at the annual Drama Showcase at the Soho Theatre in London on Friday 11th April. Final year Drama and Theatre Arts undergraduate students will take to the stage to perform a series of monologues and duologues over the course of the day including contemporary works such as 39 Steps, One Man Two Guv’nors and Dennis Kelly’s After the End, as well as some classical pieces. Now in its fourth year, the Drama Showcase has become popular with industry professionals who are keen to see the students’ work before they graduate. Along with an opportunity to network, it also gave students the chance to experience performing in a professional theatre setting. St Mary’s Drama and Theatre Arts Programme Director Patsy Gilbert said, “The Showcase is a great opportunity for students to showcase their work from the past three years and build key connections with agents, actors and producers, which will help them on their way to building a successful career in the industry. “The annual event has just gone from strength to strength and I am sure it will continue to grow in audience and reputation over the coming years.” The Drama St Mary’s Graduate Showcase is free to attend and open to members of the public.
