You are warmly invited to a seminar on ‘Weaving a Community of Learning and Service’ at St Mary’s University on 28th April 2022.
This day is organised by St Mary’s University and Deusto University in Spain as part of the service-learning consortium of Catholic universities ‘Uniservitate’.
The aim of the day is to create a useful and enriching seminar for staff and students at St Mary’s University to better understand service-learning and how to incorporate learning and service better in:
- Marketing and communication
- Employability
- Student long-term attitudes
- Assessments

Morning Session (10.45am-1pm)
- St Mary's University and the institutionalization of service-learning
- The benefits of service learning to the potential student community
Afternoon Session (2.30-4.45pm)
- Service learning impacts on students’ long-term attitudes to serving the community.
- Appropriate assessments in service learning.
About UNISERVITATE
UNISERVITATE is the programme for the promotion of service-learning in Catholic Higher Education.
Its objective is to generate a systemic change in Catholic Higher Education Institutions through the institutionalization of service-learning as a tool to achieve its mission of offering an integral education to the new generations and involving them in an active commitment to the challenges of our time.
