The Network for Researchers in Catholic Education (NfRCE) is pleased to announce that our annual conference will be held in collaboration with Catholic Association of Teachers, Schools and Colleges (CATSC).
This will create a unique opportunity for researchers in Catholic Education and leaders/practitioners in Catholic Education to work together. These are challenging times for Catholic Education and this makes it particularly important for researchers in Catholic education to respond to the needs and concerns of Catholic school leaders.
Although this conference is primarily an ‘in-person’ event, there will be the opportunity to access some of the proceedings virtually.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Assistant Prof Amalee Meehan (Dublin City University)
- Prof John Lydon (St Mary’s University)
Call for papers
This conference will explore the multi-levelled nature of Catholic Education in relation to what it might mean to flourish as a Catholic school leader or teacher. Paper proposals for short papers (20 -25 minutes, to be held in parallel sessions) that address any aspect of the theme will be warmly welcomed.
Other proposals which are more generally about aspects of Catholic education will also be considered. We are particularly keen to receive papers from Headteachers or school leaders who are actively engaged in research on aspects of Catholic education.
Please send abstracts of up to 300 words to Dr Sean Whittle: sean.whittle@stmarys.ac.uk.
