I founded Serendipity Profile with my business partner Anthony Allen on the belief that collaboration and innovation can drive progress, not just for individual athletes, but for entire ecosystems within the sports industry. But before this, I got my Applied Strength and Conditioning Science MSc at St Mary’s.
I have a real passion for sports science, and for my dissertation I wrote about speed skating performance, analysing the key physical characteristics that contribute to success in the sport. My research took me to Hungary, where I conducted testing on the national team with the support of my former GB coach. My goal is to have these findings published, further contributing to the field of sports science.
St Mary’s was also where we won the Alumni Business Pitch competition. It was the Career Service team at St Mary’s that recommended us to enter, with winners of the competition receiving up to £1000 in funding. This win proved instrumental in getting Serendipity Profile to where it is now.
Before I came to St Mary’s, I was a GB short track speed skater while Anthony was an elite performance coach with extensive experience competing at a high level across various sports. The inspiration for the business came from our personal experiences in elite sports. For me, my elite skating career was unexpectedly halted when funding was cut for GB Short Track. This experience underscored the importance of support, resources, and mentorship, especially when it comes to ensuring that athletes, regardless of background, have the tools they need to succeed.
Winning the St Mary’s Alumni Business Pitch competition was a key moment for us, that highlighted the importance of collaboration between athletes, institutions, and industry professionals. Through our relationship with St Mary’s, we’ve already had the opportunity to engage with students, faculty, and researchers, while also providing real-world experience and mentorship. By collaborating with places like St Mary’s, we aim to provide valuable resources, internships, and career opportunities to aspiring sports professionals.
We’ve worked hard to evolve Serendipity Profile into a hub for athlete branding, sponsorship management, high-performance training, and cutting-edge wellness protocols. We’re now leading the way in athlete health and performance, with the support of Paul, a renowned figure in the biohacking space.
Serendipity Profile continues to grow, and we offer a range of services designed to help athletes reach peak performance, secure sponsorships, and build lasting careers. Our approach goes beyond just athlete branding; it’s about developing holistic, sustainable growth for everyone involved.
Going forward, we’re determined to expand our reach, not just within elite sports but also across academic institutions, businesses, and communities. Whether it’s working with universities like St Mary’s, building partnerships, or supporting the next generation of sports professionals, our goal is clear: to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the sports world and the communities that support it.
By working together, we can create new opportunities, nurture emerging talent, and build a future where success is shared by all.
