Centre for Workplace Learning Modules with work placement

In your second or third year of study, the majority of students will be able to undertake an accredited work placement module as part of their programme. These modules are run by our Centre for Workplace Learning (CWL) lecturing team and are designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical experience within a workplace.

Our modules span various bespoke subjects, giving students the opportunity to find a placement that aligns with their career aspirations and academic interests whilst simultaneously expanding their subject knowledge via weekly lectures. By combining practical work experience with academic learning, our modules foster a deeper understanding of the workplace allowing you to gain practical experience, develop your employability skills and build your professional network.

Placement Year

Completing a placement year enables students to gain experience relevant to your career interests and develop your skills, as part of your course. A placement can complement degree studies, give skills and experience and provide networking opportunities to help with securing graduate employment.
