Reprezent Health

Reprezent Health is for all widening participation students but we especially welcome males from diverse ethnic backgrounds, and males who commute from low-income areas studying sports courses.

Students surrounding a gym bench smiling for a photo. We are scheduled after several sports programmes core lectures to fit around your timetable and reduce the stress of commuting. You are invited to come along and train alongside staff from wellbeing, learning development, and academic staff from the School of Sport Exercise and Applied Sciences.

You will be able to attend gym sessions in the Performance Education Suite (PEC) and some alternative fitness classes for free. You will be able to utilise the gym equipment usually reserved for those on sports scholarships and a select few academic programmes for free and talk to other students, academic and wellbeing staff in between sets.

Conversations are dictated by the you, but often focus on topics impacting student’s wellbeing such as academic overwhelm, time management, adapting to university life and making friends. Introductions to wellbeing services and disability and dyslexia support can also be made in a discreet way if students feel they would benefit from it.
