Biography
Sam graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Sport Science from St Mary's in 2001, and subsequently with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Kings College London in 2005. She has worked as part of the medical team in local elite rugby teams, and now is contracted as a consultant for the military, in elite football and rugby. She has worked in the NHS since graduation as a Physiotherapist and still works clinically part-time as one of the clinical lead physiotherapists in the Hand and Wrist Unit at Guys and St Thomas' Hospital. Sam is a qualified injection therapist and non-medical prescriber and works in a first-contact practitioner role.

Research profile
Sam has led on the work-based learning programme in her clinical work and is passionate about developing empowerment through health-based knowledge enhancement in patients, students, qualified therapists and the MDT. Sam has recently been awarded fellowship of the Higher Education Academy following successful completion of her postgraduate certificate in academic practice (PGCAP).
