Biography
Oliver is a graduate of the Sport Rehabilitation program, class of 2011. Following his undergraduate studies, he pursued a Master of Science in Athletic Training in the United States, with a primary focus on acute care techniques, particularly tailored for high-level collegiate soccer players.
Following the successful completion of his master's degree, Oliver embarked on a career in Major League Soccer (MLS), where he served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Seattle Sounders FC. In this role, his responsibilities included the provision of pitch-side care and the planning of treatment and rehabilitation programs for the players.
Since returning to St Mary’s, Oliver has been the course lead for the MSc. Currently, he serves as the course lead for the MSc Programme, overseeing academic and professional development.
Internationally, Oliver chairs the World Federation of Athletic Training and Therapy (WFATT) international committee, contributing significantly to the global exposure of Athletic Training and Sport Rehabilitation.
