Biography

Jessica joined St Mary’s in 2022. She is a lecturer in Professional Studies and RE. She delivers modules across the foundation year, work-based route, and postgraduate programmes. She supports undergraduate students within her personal tutor and link tutor role.

Before joining St Mary’s, Jessica taught in a range of primary schools in the West London area for 17 years and has experience teaching across the National Curriculum subjects at KS1 and KS2. Her roles in school range from Deputy Headteacher, phase leader, subject co-ordinator, and ECT & student mentor.

Jessica is passionate about ensuring education for all pupils and creating a stimulating environment where pupils are engaged and able to make progress. She has worked in a variety of teams and understands the importance of collaboration, to develop learning. She has overseen teaching & learning across a school, to ensure children get access to a high standard of education, developing CPD and training programmes to support this.

Jessica is currently working towards becoming a member of the FHEA and is developing a small-scale research project. Reflective practice is a key part of this.
