Biography
Janie heads the Employability Services team which comprises the Centre for Workplace Learning (CWL), the Careers Service, and the Placements Team, as well as marketing and student facing activities, Employer Engagement, and Graduate Outcomes.
An experienced and qualified careers practitioner in higher education as well as a published researcher, her previous career experience includes the Civil Service.
Research
Research profile
Janie's doctoral research was in the field of cultural history (specifically in art music in public discourse in England at the time of the First World War) and she has taught at Royal Holloway.
She has convened several academic conferences, including one to coincide with the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War at the British Library. She is a published researcher both in Buddhist studies and in musicology.
