Biography
Elizabeth is a professor of legal education and a practising solicitor. Elizabeth possesses extensive leadership experience leading Law and Business Schools and across the wider university portfolio as a Teaching Excellence Framework lead. Moreover, Elizabeth is a national teaching fellow and principal fellow of the Higher Education Academy because of the strategic impact of her work in clinical legal education creating a range of award-winning law clinics.

Research profile
Elizabeth works extensively in the field of clinical legal education recognising the value of such work to both students and wider society; particularly in providing support and advice to vulnerable clients who would otherwise be denied access to justice.
Elizabeth's expertise is recognised nationally in higher education, the legal profession, and more widely in the equality, diversity, and inclusion sphere. Elizabeth was appointed to the OfS Business and Law TEF panel as a subject matter expert, the OfS Quality Investigations Committee, and as a QAA assessor and panel chair. Elizabeth also advises the PCC of South Yorkshire Police on Ethics on issues such as diversity and hate crime.
As a solicitor, Elizabeth possesses a national profile as a non-executive solicitor director of the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority (SRA) and works with key stakeholders in the English and Welsh governments and judiciary enhancing consumer confidence in legal services and maintaining standards in education and training through the SQE and Solicitor Apprenticeships.
