Biography
Elaine graduated as a Sports Rehabilitator from Middlesex University in 2002 and immediately went into working in the NHS providing rehabilitation to patients following knee and hip replacement. She was also involved in the domiciliary physiotherapy service which involved rehabilitation for patients in their own homes following discharge from hospital with various musculoskeletal injuries.
Following this, Elaine worked in football with QPR Ladies and AFC Wimbledon doing pitch-side work and injury rehabilitation. She worked at Kingston University with student athletes and recreational athletes from a variety of different sports providing soft tissue massage, injury rehabilitation, nutrition advice and training programmes.
On completion of her Masters in Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation at St Marys in 2010, Elaine then started a teaching role at Bournemouth University on the Clinical Exercise Science programme.
Throughout this time she has continued to see private patients for injury rehabilitation or soft tissue work in preparation for events including the world’s highest cricket match and those training for endurance events.
