Biography
Professor Adam Longcroft is an expert in the areas of higher education policy, practice, and pedagogy and is the University’s first ever dean of Learning & Teaching. Appointed in 2018, Adam serves as the head of the Centre for Teaching Excellence and Student Success (CTESS).
CTESS plays an important role in leading the professional development of academic staff, the development and delivery of the University’s Access and Participation Plan (APP), and coordination of the University’s higher education apprenticeships provision. In addition to supporting the growth and management of the University’s collaborative partnerships, CTESS is an agent for progressive change at St Mary’s, and provides leadership in the development of key University-level strategies.
Professor Longcroft is a member of the University’s Executive Committee and reports to the University Provost and Chief Academic Officer.
