Pregnancy Massage is an intensive one-day course, which is designed to build upon your massage knowledge and expand your understanding of women’s experiences during pregnancy. This course is accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).

This one day course runs from 9.30am-4.30pm and you can choose from a number of date options:
- Saturday 30th November 2024
- Sunday 27th April 2025.

Content
Whilst enrolled upon the pregnancy massage course you will focus upon expanding your existing massage skills to the changing anatomy and physiology of the body. You will also learn how to deal with muscular aches and pains which are specific to pregnancy. The course also covers contraindications, infertility, labour, and natural ways to help the variety of problems that may be experienced during pregnancy. The course combines practical and theoretical learning.
Requirements
In order to take part in this pregnancy massage course, you must already have acquired a Level 3 Diploma in Massage. Please enquire if you are uncertain about your qualification.
You must provide:
- your own towels (at least two bath, two regular, and one small)
- lotion
- a couch cover
- pillow.
You must also arrange for someone who is over six-months pregnant to come along and be massaged from 3pm onwards. If this is not possible, we are usually able to find local volunteers so please let us know when you enrol.
Award
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of attendance issued by St Mary’s University.
