The theme for South Asian Heritage Month 2023 is Stories to Tell and is all about celebrating the stories that make up our diverse and vibrant community. Our stories are what make us unique, and they connect us to each other in profound ways.
Following the success of last year’s event, our BAME and Allies student and staff network are once again inviting you to join us in marking South Asian Heritage Month! This year we will explore British South Asian history as experienced through a local lens, to better understand the histories and herstories of our local area.
The programme will include a panel discussion featuring extracts of the documentary ‘Young Rebels: The Story of Southhall Youth Movement’, followed by live music and a south Asian food buffet.
Please join us in marking this special month!
