St Mary's Internal Research Funding
Research Services are pleased to announce that the university has been allocated additional research funds from Research England. Specifically, these additional funds are for the Enhancing Research Culture fund, Participatory Research fund, and the Policy Support fund. The opportunity to submit applications for these funds is open to all university staff. Further details of each of the funds are avaliable in the complete guidance documents.
Enhancing Research Culture Fund
The Enhancing Research Culture Fund will provide funding to any activity that aims to improve the university's research culture. Proposals may be for new initiatives or may seek to accelerate or complement existing research culture or Race Equality Charter activity across the university. Check out the complete guidance.

Participatory Research Fund
Participatory or co-produced research strengthens research outcomes by involving the communities and users of research, better recognising their experience, needs and preferences, and giving greater agency to communities to implement findings. Check out the complete guidance.

Policy Support Fund
Policy Support Fund is to support universities to link effectively with policy research priorities and opportunities. The funding supports universities in undertaking research with partners working within local, regional, national and international structures (including parliament, central government, devolved administrations, local government, health and education bodies, the justice system and other regulatory organisations). Application Form
Applications for all funds should be made using the application form here. Completed application forms should be submitted to research@stmarys.ac.uk and state clearly in the subject heading which fund the application is aganist. The deadline for appplications to all funds is 5pm 30th November 2023.
