Purpose of the Supervision in Education Network
The Supervision in Education (SIE) Network provides a supportive environment for colleagues from all disciplines and settings to share their experiences, expertise, perspectives and resources.
Its aims include:
- Providing a supportive environment for discussion and debate
- Keeping colleagues informed of sector developments
- Promoting high standards of supervsion within and across the education sector
- Developing, through our ongoing practice, our understanding of supervision in education
- Informing and undertaking research in supervsion in education
- Informing policy development and system change.
What the Supervision in Education Network does
The network runs a number of free events across the year:
- Four free-to-attend online network meetings based on the current priorities in the Supervision in Education Network’s Action Plan (2024 – 2027)
- Monthly free to attend reflective practice group for supervisors
- One thematic online symposium where we explore in-depth an issue of interest
- A face to face conference on a topic of interest in the summer.
Members also have access to a shared platform site of events and resources.
