These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the St Mary’s E-Sports Arena (Arena). By accessing or using the Arena, you agree to comply with these Terms. Please read them carefully before using the Arena.

Arena Usage
- Eligibility: The Arena is available to individuals who are at least 12 years old. Minors must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the Arena.
- St Mary’s offer children’s party packages for children aged 7+. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please refer to our party T&Cs.
- Hourly Rental: The Arena offers PC rental services on an hourly basis. You must pay the applicable hourly fee to use a PC at the Arena.
- Time Allocation: PC rentals are subject to availability. The duration of each rental session is determined by the chosen hourly package, and additional time may be purchased if available.
- Booking Reservations: Reservations are strongly recommended to secure PC availability. Reservations can be made in person, over the phone, or through the University website.
- Conduct: You are expected to conduct yourself in a responsible and respectful manner while using the Arena. Any form of harassment, abuse, or disruptive behaviour towards other users or staff members is strictly prohibited.

Fees and Payments
- Hourly Rates: St Mary’s charges an hourly rate for PC rentals. The current rates are posted at the website. Rates are subject to change without notice.
- Payment Method: Payment for PC rentals must be made in advance online.
- Refunds: No refunds will be provided for unused time. However, in exceptional circumstances, such as technical failures, St Mary’s may, at its discretion, offer a partial or full refund or credit towards future rentals.

Liability and Disclaimers
- Personal Property: St Mary’s is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought into the Arena.
- System Integrity: While St Mary’s strives to provide a secure and stable gaming environment, it does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Arena’s PCs or network infrastructure.
- User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for any actions you take while using the Arena’s facilities, including any consequences that may arise from the use of third-party software or services.
- Health and Safety: It is your responsibility to ensure your own health and safety while using the Arena. St Mary’s is not liable for any injuries or health issues that may occur during your visit.
- Parental Responsibility: Parents or legal guardians are responsible for the behaviour and safety of their children while using the Arena’s facilities. Emergency contact details must be provided when booking.
- Food and/or beverages are not permitted within the Arena.
- You cannot share your account with another person. If you are found to be using another person’s account, the account will be deleted including remaining game time.

Intellectual Property
- Ownership: St Mary’s retains all ownership rights to the PCs, gaming consoles, software, and other equipment provided in the Arena.
- Prohibited Activities: You must not engage in any activities that infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others, including unauthorised copying, distribution, or modification of copyrighted materials.
- User Content: Any content created or shared by users within the Arena remains the property of the respective users. However, by using the Arena, you grant St Mary’s a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute such content for promotional purposes.

Termination
- Violations: St Mary’s reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Arena at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in behaviour that poses a risk to other users or St Mary’s operations.
- No Refunds: In the event of termination due to violations, no refunds or credits will be provided for any remaining rental time.

Miscellaneous
- Amendments: St Mary’s reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Notice of such changes will be provided through the Arena or St Mary’s’ website.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms, or the use of the Arena shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England.
By using the Arena, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
