Supporting trainees with a declared disability

St Mary's is committed to providing the best support to all trainees and facilitating high quality school experience for all.

Some of our students have declared disabilities, which may mean they have a Learning Support Form (LSF) to ensure that appropriate adjustments are made for them at University and during their school-based training. All students with a declared disability or LSF are invited to attend a meeting with the Partnership Lead prior to commencing school experience. The purpose of this meeting is to anticipate any reasonable adjustments that could be made to support the trainee in school. These pages contains guidance, which has been created in collaboration with our students, staff, and Wellbeing and Disability & Dyslexia teams, for trainees and those supporting them on their placements.
