Students arriving and returning to St Mary’s University, Twickenham this September will be greeted with the newly opened Naylor Library.
Located a short 10 minute walk from St Mary’s Strawberry Hill campus, the Naylor Library is the result of a £6 million investment in student resources. The Library has also opened up additional space in the Main Library, which has allowed for the development of a dedicated law library and an increase in study and collaborative space for St Mary’s students.
The new library will provide over 250 study spaces for students, including five group study rooms and three pods for one to one meetings. There is WiFi access throughout, with 31 Apple iMacs and 48 borrowable laptops, in addition to the 33,000 books in the Library’s collection. Students also have access to a brand new on site café, serving Starbucks coffee and a range of healthy snacks.
Director of Library and Learning Technology Martin Scarrott said, “The Naylor Library is a fantastic investment in the future of the Library and Learning Technology provision at the University and we can’t wait to see students making use of their new facilities.”
