Finding library resources within the St Mary's collection
Our library discovery tool Primo is the St Mary's University library catalogue, allowing you to search the University's library collection in a single interface. Primo covers print books, e-books, e-journals, periodicals, open access resources and much more.
Finding library resources outside St Mary's
To search for materials available in other libraries, there are a number of options.
- JISC Library Hub Discover – brings together the catalogues of a number of major UK and Irish libraries, including the British Library.
- Library Hub Discover – searches the catalogues of major UK research libraries, including members of Research Libraries UK (RLUK), specialist research and museum libraries, specialist, and important research collections.
- Links to university library webpages and catalogues can be found on the SCONUL Access website or by doing an internet search. SCONUL Access also allows you to register to use other university libraries – please note that the degree of access you will have is determined by your type of study – i.e. full or part time, undergraduate or postgraduate. Please note that in all other libraries, access is primarily to printed resources. There may be no access to online materials, or it may be very limited.
