Online reading and resource lists

Recommendation

 Rationale

 Silver standard:

 Resource Lists:

Use a Resource List to host all links to resources and reading materials.

Identify reasources as 'essential', 'recommended', or 'background'.

Any chapters or excerpts marked as 'essential' must be digitised .This can be done via the 'Request digitisation' function in Leganto, subject to copyright laws.

IMPORTANT! Self-scanned texts uploaded as PDFs are not fully accessible to students and might breach copyright law.

Resource lists help students manage their reading workload and support students to reference accurately.

All library-digitized texts are accessible to students with text-to-speech requirements.

 Gold standard:

 Reading activities:

Offer independent online activities that follow on from key readings. Set up a quiz, poll, or offer an online social learning activity.

Encourage collaborative reading via Elevate?.

Promote student self-assessment and learner reflection via online activities.
