Qualification funding for staff
The Learning and People Development (L&PD) department offers funding for qualifications exceeding £1,000 for staff under permanent or fixed-term contracts.
To receive funding for qualifications, staff must apply during the qualification funding window. The qualification funding window opens June and October each year and the dates are announced on the staff news and announcements webpage. The window will next open on 21st October 2024 and will close on 1st November 2024.
How to apply for qualification funding
- Fill out the Qualification Funding Request Form on DocuSign during the qualification funding window.
- You will need approval from your line manager as well as the Dean of Faculty/ Head of School or Director of Department. You are responsible for ensuring both levels of approval are completed before the application window closes. You can track this on your DocuSign account.
- Once all parties have signed, the L&PD Team will review your application and will notify you of its outcome one week after the closing date for applications. Funding decisions may be subject to delays based on the volume of qualifications under consideration.
