St Mary's recognises two unions who represent staff interests, UCU, and UNISON. You can find out more about them and how to join below.
UCU, the University and College Union
What we do
We stand up for safety, protect jobs, defend pay, and fight for equality.
- At the national level the union negotiates with our employers over pay and general conditions.
- Here at St Mary's we negotiate with the university's management over local conditions.
- We advise and support all our branch members, representing them if they need help.
About us
Our branch has more than doubled in size in recent years as more colleagues have come to appreciate the advice and support we can provide. We keep members informed through a termly newsletter and hold termly general meetings.
