Some events, as specified, will be included within the one-time £5 wristband purchase (please see ticketing information page). For others, more information will follow about each venue’s ticketing system and how to register for these events.

Orwell's enduring parable on the perils of totalitarianism is brought vividly to life in Ricky Dukes’ sparkling new adaptation performed by St Mary’s final year BA Acting students in an exciting touring production hosted by our friends at West Thames College, Isleworth.

St Mary’s visiting tutors and artists in residence at The Old Sorting Office Arts centre in Barnes, Tom Penn and Fred Wienard join forces to create this poetic meditation on loneliness, the forest, and its ghosts.
Inspired by Epping Forest, the lime Trees of Willesden Green and Japanese Folklore: expect string instruments, bonsai trees, and live-looping.

Chaos, by Laura Lomas (performance), 7.30pm
St Mary’s University final year BA Acting students perform this revival of Laura Lomas’ post-modern symphony on the subject of dislocation in this touring production in association with West Thames College, Isleworth.
A girl is locked in a room. A boy brings another boy flowers. A girl has tied herself to a railing. A boy doesn't know who he is. A girl worries about impending catastrophe. A woman jumps in front of a train. A boy's heart falls out his chest. A butterfly has a broken wing.
A series of characters search for meaning in a complicated and unstable world. Bouncing through physics, the cosmos, love, and violence, can they find order in the disorder of each other?

The Space – Survival of Theatre (2018), documentary screening, 5pm
In 1972, at the height of the apartheid struggle in South Africa with tensions reaching a breaking point, a group of artists risked everything to build a safe space dedicated to artistic, social, and political freedom. "The Space", became a Theatre of Survival for all artists voices regardless of the colour of their skin.
This fascinating historical documentary directed by Mark Street, The School’s Subject Lead for Creative Arts, features interviews with playwright Athol Fugard, Tony award-winners John Kani and Winston Ntshona, Fatima Dike, Nomhle Nkonyeni, Wilson Dunster, Percy Sieff, Richard E Grant, and many more, "The Space" is narrated by multiple award-winning acting legend, James Earl Jones.

An afternoon of expert masterclasses, careers advice and bite size learning focused on those keen to pursue a career in the Creative Arts delivered in partnership with The Patch creative hub (Twickenham) and St Mary’s Employability Services team.

The Beatles: A walking tour with Richard Mills, 1pm
Associate Professor and Beatles expert Richard Mills explores the role that South West London played in the develop of the Fab Four on this fascinating and occasionally revealing walking tour.

Proof, by David Auburn (performance), 7.30pm
Auburn’s moral thriller on truth and certainty is given fresh life by St Mary’s final year BA Acting students in this exciting revival.
Following the death of her brilliant mathematician father, Catherine struggles to come to terms with his legacy. Inheriting some of both his brilliance and his instability, she is faced with two choices. Which path is right for her to follow? And where, when each hypothesis is weighed, might the proof be found?

The Big Debate! 5.30pm
The gloves are off! Staff and students from the School’s History programmes face off in classic debate style focused on a big issue of the day.

Behave (2023) (film screening), 7.30pm
After the death of their friend, a group of eccentric young adults are whisked away to a villa on the outskirts of London, but a mysterious entity seems to have followed them to their luxurious getaway.
Directed by Senior Lecturer Francesco Gabriele, and with a cast and crew packed full of St Mary’s alumni including a screenplay written by Daniel Sproson, this feature length psychological thriller gets its first Richmond outing fresh from a successful tour of the International Festival circuit.

Three Sisters, by Benedict Andrews (performance), 7.30pm
St Mary’s University final year BA Acting students perform Benedict Andrews’ modern reimagining of Chekhov’s masterpiece.
Somewhere, in the distance, war is raging but, in their Dacha, protected from the bombs and tanks, three sisters fuelled by boredom, Nirvana, and David Bowie sidestep the present, to dream of their own escape. Unapologetically turbocharged, this version propels the action of Chekhov’s play into the present day.
