Disability is a protected characteristic under the UK Government’s Equality Act 2010. The Act defines disability as a physical or mental impairment that has a 'substantial' and 'long-term' negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities.
The Microlearning’s below are focused on how we can become more inclusive at St Mary’s by learning about other groups that we may not identify with. Learning about other’s lived experiences and building an awareness can lead to better respect of our colleagues, students, and ourselves.
