Supporting transitions between phases of education

St Mary’s University School of Education is delighted to offer a brand new CPD course for teachers and school leaders with a focus on how pupils might be best supported during transitions between different phases of education.

This one-day course begins by delving in to what we mean by transition. Research into how transition between phases of education impacts children will be discussed, challenging participants to think of transition as a process rather than an event.

Strategies to support transition will be explored emphasising the importance of developing psychologically, socially and physically 'safe' environments which support learning and development.
