The Grade 1 listed Waldegrave Suite at St Mary’s University offers an opulent setting for filming and photography, with its ornate high ceilings and chandeliers.
The wood-panelled Senior Common Room has doubled as the House of Commons for BBC drama Appletree Yard, and other previous filming projects include Silent Witness, Lewis, ITV’s Endeavour, The Martin Lewis Money Show and BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award.
St Mary’s University campus benefits from a wide range of world-class sporting facilities that are available for hire for filming and photo shoots, including grass and artificial rugby and football pitches, three indoor tennis courts and a large multi-use Performance Hall.
Two state of the art gyms and the Sir Mo Farah Athletics Track, alongside High-Performance Laboratories are also available to hire.
Previous productions shot at Sport St Mary’s include TV adverts for Nike, Adidas and BUPA, Idents for Sky Sports and a full episode of BBC comedy ‘Josh’. The documentary ‘Mind Over Marathon’ featuring high profile guests TRH Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was also shot on campus.
