Undergraduate study
BA Acting
BA Acting offers you training in the core acting techniques so that you can develop your craft and are equipped to work within the profession on stage and screen.
Our Acting degree is unique as we offer modules in script writing, digital filmmaking, and theatre production. These modules add to your core actor training, allowing you to adapt to creative environments and increase employability.
You will complete a West End Showcase in front of industry professionals. You will also build a showreel and voice reel as part of your portfolio. The year will end with the Festival of Creativity, where you'll perform at St Mary's and local theatres.
BA Creative Production
Explore your creative potential with our practical Creative Production BA. Our degree is hands-on and will prepare you to work on live theatre events and recorded TV and film. You will produce performances and learn key skills such as sound, lighting, and stage management.
As part of our Creative Production degree, you will also study set design, costume, and scenic construction, and have the opportunity to engage in an industry placement.
BA Filmmaking
During our Filmmaking BA, you will navigate practical filmmaking skillsets from development through to editing and scriptwriting. As well as modules such as digital production and digital design, you will also have the opportunity to study:
- film production
- documentary making
- cinema history
- motion graphics.
You will also have the opportunity to engage in an industry placement module.
